Triumph for Ferrari

Dijon 1979 — The legendary 1979 French Grand Prix duel between Gilles Villeneuve and René Arnoux was a battle for second place that captivated fans more than the race for first.

USA 1979

While other drivers hesitated in the downpour during the first qualifying run, Gilles attacked the track, setting a lap time 10 seconds faster than his teammate Scheckter.

Kyalami 1979

Gilles won the 1979 South African Grand Prix by a narrow margin, finishing ahead of local driver and teammate Jody Scheckter.
