The Gilles Villeneuve Homecoming Tee is part of our exclusive Homecoming collection, honouring the Canadian Grand Prix racetrack namesake. In 1982, the Île Notre-Dame Circuit in Montréal was renamed Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve following the tragic death of Gilles during qualifying for the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix. Today, the words “Salut Gilles” are painted on the start-finish-line, forever immortalizing his legacy.

The front of the tee includes three exclusive Homecoming logos, celebrating the racetrack that now bears his name:

  • An outline of the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve racetrack.
  • The logo that was first used for the 1978 Canadian Grand Prix, the first year that the event was held in Montréal, as well as Gilles first win in Canada.
  • The iconic MTL abbreviation.

The back of the t-shirt is printed with an illustrated profile art of Gilles’ helmet, with his eyes peeking through the open visor of his iconic helmet.

  • Official Gilles Villeneuve product
  • 100% cotton
